Chillicothe Police Report – October 4, 2025

CHILLICOTHE, OH — The Chillicothe Police Department responded to multiple calls throughout the city on Saturday, October 4, ranging from criminal trespass and vehicle theft to domestic violence and traffic violations.

Early Saturday morning, officers were dispatched to 1049 Columbus Street (McArthur Gardens) for a non-criminal incident that remains under investigation. Around 3:28 a.m., a driver on North Bridge Street was cited for driving over marked lines and driving under suspension.

Later that morning, officers met Pike County Sheriff’s deputies at Izzy’s Gas Station on North Paint Street for a prisoner transport related to a warrant. That case is still under investigation.

At 12:20 p.m., police were called to East Water Street regarding a suicidal female. The incident remains under investigation.

In the afternoon, officers responded to several calls, including a fight behind Rent-2-Own on North Bridge Street, which led to an arrest for criminal trespass, and a hit-skip crash reported near Orange and Erie Streets.

Around 5:30 p.m., officers investigated a stolen vehicle reported at Kroger on North Bridge Street. That investigation is ongoing.

Police also handled two separate warrant arrests on Saturday, including the arrest of Salena Mitchell, who was taken into custody by Commercial Point Police and transferred to the Ross County Jail on a failure-to-appear warrant for fictitious registration. She remains held in lieu of bond and is scheduled to appear in court on October 6.

One of the most serious incidents of the day occurred around 6:50 p.m. when officers were dispatched to 94 North Brownell Street for a report of domestic violence and aggravated menacing. A woman told police her boyfriend pointed a gun at her. An arrest was made at the scene.

Additional calls included disorderly conduct outside the Common Pleas Court, a trespass on Warner Avenue, and a falsification and warrant investigation at the Hampton Inn on North Plaza Boulevard. Officers also responded to a crash at North High and West Water Streets, issued traffic citations for speed and an unobstructed license plate, and investigated threats made on Washington Avenue late Saturday night.

In total, Chillicothe Police handled 16 incidents throughout the day. Several cases remain under investigation.
