Circleville Police Handle Thefts, Fire, and Dozens of Calls on September 29

CIRCLEVILLE, OH — Circleville Police had a busy Monday, September 29, responding to 49 calls ranging from thefts and fraud to fire alarms and well-being checks.

The day began shortly after 1:30 a.m. with officers investigating a suspicious vehicle on North Court Street, though the car was gone by the time police arrived. Throughout the early morning, officers conducted several extra patrols across town and handled multiple civil process paper deliveries.

By mid-morning, reports escalated to suspicious property damage on East Mound Street, a fraud case on Swackhamer Road, and a theft on North Pickaway Street. Officers also took reports of harassment on Lancaster Pike and a runaway juvenile on East Franklin Street.

Later in the day, police investigated a theft on West Main Street, a breaking and entering on U.S. 23, and a non-injury accident on Clark Drive. A structure fire was reported on Logan Street in the evening, with a report taken at the scene.

Other calls included trespassing, threats, harassment, traffic stops, juvenile complaints, and several fire and EMS alarm drops. Many suspicious circumstance and trespassing calls were marked “gone on arrival” when officers could not locate those involved.

Police remind residents to remain alert and continue reporting suspicious activity.
