CIRCLEVILLE, OH (Sept. 16, 2025) – A man accused of stealing thousands of dollars from a Circleville fast-food restaurant earlier this year has been found guilty and sentenced to prison.

The Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office reported that deputies were called to the Circleville KFC on May 5, 2025, after employees discovered that the restaurant’s code-protected safe had been emptied during the night.

Investigators quickly identified Christofer Ford as a suspect. Detectives determined Ford gained access to the restaurant using a key from an employee and the safe’s security code. Surveillance footage and money-tracing evidence tied him directly to the crime.

Ford, who has a history of theft-related charges in the area, was convicted in Pickaway County Court of breaking and entering, theft, and safecracking. He was sentenced to 773 days in the Pickaway Correctional Center (PRC).

Authorities said the conviction closes the case that left the Circleville KFC with significant losses earlier this year.
