
Circleville, Ohio, May 30 – The Pickaway County Republican Party (PCRP) is proud to
announce the launch of its annual Art Scholarship Contest, open to all high school seniors
who reside in Pickaway County or attend one of the county’s schools. This year’s theme, “What
Does Freedom Mean to Me,” invites students to reflect on the meaning of freedom through
original artwork.
Three scholarships will be awarded to outstanding entries:
● 1st Place: $1,000
● 2nd Place: $500
● 3rd Place: $300
“We are excited to offer this opportunity for young artists to showcase their creativity and
values,” said Mike Agosta, member of the Pickaway County Republican Party Executive
Committee and organizer of the contest. “This contest not only supports students as they
plan their future education or careers but also gives them a chance to explore and celebrate
what freedom means to them and to our community.”
Submission Details:
● Entries must be completed on poster board no larger than 36” x 36”.
● Artwork must be delivered with a signed application to PCRP Headquarters, 108 S Court
St., Circleville, OH 43113, on Saturday, September 27 or Saturday, October 4 from
10:00 a.m. to Noon.
● Winners will be notified and posted on the Republican Headquarters window by
Monday, October 13.
A panel of Pickaway County elected officials will serve as judges. To ensure fairness, judges will
not know the names or schools of participating students.
Winning entries may be publicly displayed at the PCRP Headquarters and the Republican
Pumpkin Show Booth.
