
CHILLICOTHE, OH — September 8, 2025 — Chillicothe Police logged nine incidents on Sunday, September 7, ranging from warrant arrests to theft and hit-skip investigations, according to the department’s daily media report.
Highlights from the day’s calls include:
- Warrant arrest: Around 1:11 a.m., officers made contact with a man on South Mulberry Street who had active warrants. He was taken into custody, with further investigation pending.
- Traffic stop warning: At 5:11 a.m., police initiated a traffic stop near North Mulberry and Water Street after observing a driver nearly enter a sidewalk area. The driver was given a warning.
- Breaking and entering: Officers responded at 12:24 p.m. to a report of a break-in on Gilmore Street. The case remains under investigation.
- Disorderly conduct: Two separate disorderly conduct calls were logged, one on McKeller Street at 12:49 p.m. and another on East Second Street at 11:32 p.m. Both remain under investigation.
- Pedestrian struck: At 2:55 p.m., officers were dispatched to the intersection of Main and Paint streets after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle. The driver reportedly left the scene. Police continue to investigate.
- Theft report: Police responded to a theft complaint on Yoctangee Parkway at 7:46 p.m.
- Threat complaint: At 8:44 p.m., officers responded to North Paint Street regarding a reported threat.
- Traffic violation: Just before 11:30 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on North Bridge Street, issuing a citation for driving under suspension.
Chillicothe Police say several of the cases remain active as investigations continue.
