
CHILLICOTHE — The Chillicothe Police Department was busy Wednesday, responding to 52 calls ranging from routine patrols to theft arrests.
Overnight & Morning Activity
Officers conducted multiple extra patrols in the downtown area and along North Court Street during the early morning hours. A traffic stop on North Pickaway Street around 4:13 a.m. resulted in a warning, and officers responded to a fire/EMS alarm drop on Clark Drive that was determined to be a false alarm.
A theft was reported on Sunset Drive at 7:33 a.m., followed by a parking complaint on East Mill Street. Later in the morning, police took a fraud report on Sycamore Drive and released property to its owner from East Franklin Street.
Afternoon Incidents
Calls included a dirt bike/ATV complaint, several parking violations, and a stolen vehicle/runaway report from Roundtown Square. Non-injury crashes were reported on East Mound Street and South Court Street, with a citation issued in one case.
Police also responded to a vehicle lockout on Clark Drive, a theft on Stoutsville Pike, and another theft on North Court Street.
Evening Calls
An arrest was made following a neighbor dispute on Villa Drive at 6:26 p.m. Later, police recovered found property on Island Road and assisted with a disabled vehicle on West Main Street.
The night concluded with additional extra patrols and well-being checks.
Investigations into several incidents, including the thefts and stolen vehicle report, remain ongoing.
