
CHILLICOTHE — The Chillicothe Police Department responded to a series of calls Wednesday, ranging from thefts and juvenile complaints to a domestic violence arrest.
Morning Incidents
At 8:40 a.m., officers were dispatched to Yoctangee Park after reports of homeless individuals sleeping and leaving a mess inside one of the city’s shelter buildings. That same morning, a traffic stop was conducted for reckless driving and fictitious license plates.
Around noon, police investigated a trespassing complaint on Arch Street, followed by a shoplifting report at Rural King on North Bridge Street. Later, officers responded to a crash in the same area.
Afternoon & Evening Activity
Police handled multiple juvenile-related calls, including a complaint on North Sugar Street.
At 6:14 p.m., officers assisted the Ross County Sheriff’s Office with a shooting investigation on Patton Hill Road. Shortly afterward, they responded to a domestic dispute on East Main Street.
Theft reports were also filed from South Hickory Street.
Felony & Domestic Violence Arrests
At 8:34 p.m., detectives in an unmarked vehicle initiated an investigation involving tampering with evidence, outstanding warrants, and obstruction of justice.
Just before 11:10 p.m., officers arrested Seth D. White in the 500 block of Laurel Street after a domestic incident. Police say White damaged a bedroom door during an argument and allegedly threatened the victim by picking up a landscaping brick. Officers observed damage to the door frame and recovered the brick from a sidewalk.
Investigations into several incidents remain ongoing.
