
CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — The Chillicothe Police Department handled 17 incidents on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, ranging from warrant arrests and trespassing calls to theft reports and traffic violations.
Domestic Dispute at Gas Station
Just after midnight, officers responded to the BP Gas Station on Safford Avenue for a reported domestic dispute. The investigation is ongoing.
Trespassing and Assault Cases
At 2:52 a.m., police were called to IHOP on Consumer Center Drive for a trespassing complaint. Less than an hour later, another call led officers to North Bridge Street for a report of criminal trespass and assault. Both cases remain under investigation.
Multiple Warrant Arrests
Four separate warrant arrests took place throughout the day, including one on North Paint Street at the Law Enforcement Center, another on Washington Avenue, and one at Donato’s Pizza, where officers recognized and detained 46-year-old Kirk Evans. Evans was wanted on a failure-to-appear warrant related to drug paraphernalia charges.
Traffic Violations
Two traffic stops on North Hickory Street and East Main Street resulted in citations for operating a motorcycle without the required endorsement. In another incident, a driver on North Bridge Street was cited for driving under suspension after expired registration led to a traffic stop.
Theft Reports
Police investigated theft complaints at Walmart on River Trace Lane, a business on East Main Street, and another location on North Bridge Street. One of the theft cases also involved a warrant and trespassing allegations.
Other Calls
Officers responded to a found property case at City Park, a criminal simulation complaint on Western Avenue, and a motor vehicle accident at West Water Street and Western Avenue.
