
CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio — Circleville police responded to 63 calls for service on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, ranging from routine patrol checks to more serious incidents, including domestic trouble, hit-skip crashes, and an injury accident.
Throughout the day, officers conducted numerous extra patrols along North Court Street, Logan Street, and other areas, with most checks determining that everything was in order.
Significant incidents included:
- Domestic Trouble — Officers responded to multiple domestic disturbance reports, including incidents on U.S. Route 23, Third Avenue, and East Main Street. One resulted in a formal report.
- Hit-Skip Crashes — Police investigated two non-injury hit-skip accidents, one on North Court Street and another on Town Street, both resulting in reports being filed.
- Juvenile Complaints — Officers were called to several locations, including Clinton Street, South Washington Street, and West Main Street, for reports involving juveniles.
- Property and Theft Reports — Police took reports for found property, theft on Atwater Avenue, and property damage on South Court Street.
- Injury Accident — A crash on North Washington Street resulted in an injury and a citation being issued.
- Well-Being Checks — Multiple welfare checks were conducted, with most finding no immediate issues.
- Drunk Driver Reports — Suspected impaired drivers were reported on South Washington Street and Kingston Pike, though both were gone before officers arrived.
Other calls included noise complaints, suspicious activity, parking violations, repossessions, animal calls, threats/harassment, and civil process service.
