Chillicothe Police Respond to Domestic Dispute, Drug Arrest, Thefts, and Traffic Stops in Busy Monday

Chillicothe police officers handled a wide range of calls on Monday, August 11, 2025, including domestic disputes, warrants, drug possession, theft, traffic violations, and other incidents across the city.

At 1:10 a.m., officers were called to the 100 block of Burbridge Avenue for an active domestic dispute. Less than two hours later, at 2:49 a.m., police investigated a suspicious vehicle on Old Eastern Avenue where someone was reportedly passed out inside.

At 3:58 a.m., a traffic stop on East Main Street led to a warrant arrest and the discovery of a Schedule I or II controlled substance.

Later in the morning, officers took a stolen vehicle report from North Paint Street at 7:17 a.m., followed by a traffic stop on Yoctangee Parkway at 8:16 a.m. for driving under suspension. Police also responded to a trespassing complaint on North High Street at 9:42 a.m.

The day continued with an accident report at 11:01 a.m. on North Bridge Street and an open container/disorderly conduct complaint at 11:38 a.m. nearby. At 12:13 p.m., officers took a sexual battery complaint on Clay Street, which remains under investigation.

In the afternoon, police investigated a crash at 1:39 p.m. on Safford Avenue and a theft at 2 p.m. on Laurel Street. At 3:28 p.m., they responded to a disorderly conduct call on East Main Street involving suicidal ideations.

Officers stopped a white 2004 Ford Explorer at 5 p.m. for expired plates and occupant restraint violations. Later, at 11:29 p.m., police were called to East Main Street for a criminal trespass complaint involving a man attempting to enter a closed business.

Several other incidents throughout the day remain under investigation.
