
AMANDA, Ohio (July 21, 2025) – The Amanda-Clearcreek Board of Education has approved the hiring of Foresta Shope, Ph.D, as elementary principal and Stephanie Tack as PK-5 assistant principal of Amanda-Clearcreek Local Schools (Amanda-Clearcreek).
“I am excited to welcome Dr. Shope as our elementary principal and Mrs. Tack as our PK-5 assistant principal,” said Dr. Timothy Edwards, Amanda-Clearcreek Local Schools superintendent. “Dr. Shope and Mrs. Tack share enthusiasm, experience and a commitment to making students’ educational journey positive, successful and transformative.”
Foresta Shope joins Amanda-Clearcreek following her role as superintendent of Sciotoville Community Schools in Sciotoville, Ohio, which she held since 2019. In her role, Shope provided leadership to the district’s students, staff, community and governing board, ensuring every student had a meaningful and rewarding educational experience. Prior to her role as superintendent, Shope worked as the principal director of curriculum, assessment and instruction for Sciotoville Elementary Academy, grades KG-5 and East High School, grades 6-12. She also worked as a language arts teacher in grades 5 through 7, and as a fifth grade and fourth grade teacher. Shope earned her Bachelor of Arts in social science and elementary education licensure for grades 1-8 from Shawnee State University and a Master’s Degree in educational administration and principal’s licensure PK-9 from Ohio University. Shope earned her Ph.D. in cognition and instruction from Grand Canyon University.
“The elementary school setting has meant so much to me throughout my career and I am excited to lead Amanda-Clearcreek Elementary as its principal,” said Dr. Foresta Shope, elementary principal of Amanda-Clearcreek Local Schools. “I look forward to meeting our students, families and the local community so that we can work together to help our students learn, grow and thrive.”
Stephanie Tack joins Amanda-Clearcreek following her most recent role as a behavior specialist at Teays Valley School District, in Ashville, Ohio, where she oversaw behavior data to inform intervention strategies and conducted functional behavior assessments to support students, staff and the classroom experience. Prior to that role, she worked as an intervention specialist for districts in the region. Throughout her career, Tack has been extensively involved in literacy instruction, ensuring students receive the proper educational supports to learn and thrive in reading, writing, comprehension and communication. Tack earned her bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, along with her Pre-K-3 and Ohio teaching license from Ohio University. She completed a Master’s of Education: Intervention Specialist Mild/Moderate and Ohio teaching license from Rio Grande University. Tack also earned a Master’s of Education: educational leadership & Ohio administrative license from Ohio Dominican University in 2022.
“I look forward to serving the students and families at Amanda-Clearcreek in this new role,” said Stephanie Tack, PK-5 assistant principal of Amanda-Clearcreek Local Schools. “I enjoy working with our students and educators to maintain a positive educational experience and look forward to lending my experience and passion to support students at Amanda-Clearcreek.”
