OVI Checkpoint Set for Pickaway County Tomorrow Evening

CIRCLEVILLE, OH – The Ohio State Highway Patrol announced today, Thursday, June 26, 2025, at 9:45 AM EDT, that an OVI (Operating a Vehicle Impaired) checkpoint will be conducted in Pickaway County tomorrow evening, Friday, June 27, 2025, with details reported at 10:00 AM EDT. Funded by federal grants, the checkpoint aims to deter impaired driving and intercept those who operate vehicles under the influence.

In 2023, Ohio recorded 11,278 OVI-related crashes, resulting in 672 deaths and 3,333 injuries statewide. In Pickaway County specifically, 56 such crashes led to four fatalities and 26 injuries. The patrol urges motorists to contribute to road safety by obeying traffic laws, avoiding impaired driving, and designating a sober driver.
