CIRCLEVILLE, OH – June 12, 2025
A vibrant and enriching Cub Scout Day Camp brought together families, volunteers, and future leaders from across Pickaway County during a three-day event held June 9–11. Organized by Boy Scout Troop 170 in partnership with Pickaway County Sportsman, Inc. (PCSI), the camp welcomed youth from Circleville Pack 5170 and Kingston Pack 5033 for a packed schedule of outdoor adventures and creative activities.

Hosted on the PCSI grounds, the camp featured a wide variety of stations, including BB guns, archery, fishing, woodworking, leather crafting, science experiments, tie-dye art, monkey bridge challenges, nature hikes, ice cream making, and more. The event aimed to foster confidence, teamwork, and hands-on learning through classic Cub Scout traditions.

Troop 170 scouts, Scoutmasters, and parents volunteered their time and energy to guide the campers through the experience, creating a supportive environment where younger scouts could learn and grow.

Organizers expressed heartfelt gratitude to PCSI for generously offering their property to host the camp, making it possible for local youth to enjoy a safe and engaging outdoor experience.
As the final day concluded, campers left with handmade crafts, newly learned skills, and lasting friendships — all while enjoying the sunshine and spirit of community.
