The Chillicothe Police Department responded to a series of incidents across the city on Monday, June 16, handling a variety of calls ranging from theft and credit card misuse to criminal trespassing and outstanding warrants.

Here’s a breakdown of key incidents from the department’s daily media report:

Speed Enforcement on Bridge Street: A routine traffic stop was conducted near the intersection of Bridge Street and Main Street shortly before 10 a.m. as part of ongoing city speed enforcement efforts.

Stolen Debit Card on Safford Avenue: Officers took a report of a stolen debit card that had been fraudulently used. The case remains under investigation as authorities work to identify suspects and recover any stolen funds.

Unauthorized Vehicle Use: Police responded to a report from Chillicothe Post Acute on Columbus Avenue after a vehicle was reportedly taken without permission. Investigators are currently pursuing leads.

Theft from Vehicle: A theft was reported from a vehicle on an unspecified street at 1:06 p.m. The suspect reportedly took items without the owner’s consent. An investigation is ongoing.

Warrants on N. Paint Street: Officers served two separate warrants on N. Paint Street—one during the afternoon and another in the evening. Both cases remain under review in coordination with the Ross County Jail.

Trespassing Incidents: Police responded to multiple trespassing complaints. One was at a residence on Ervin Avenue at 3:35 p.m., and another was reported at Walmart on River Trace Lane around 4:30 p.m., where theft may also have occurred. A third trespassing incident combined with disorderly conduct was reported just before 10 p.m. at a residence on E. 5th Street following threats made at the scene.

Breaking and Entering on E. 4th Street: A serious criminal damaging and breaking-and-entering incident was reported around 4 p.m. Details remain limited as police continue to investigate.

No injuries were reported in connection with any of the incidents, and several investigations are still ongoing as police gather more information.
