Pickaway County Fair Kicks Off 2025 with Royalty Ceremony

CIRCLEVILLE, OH – The 2025 Pickaway County Fair officially launched on Sunday, June 15, with opening ceremonies followed by the crowning of this year’s Junior Fair Royalty Court.. The event highlighted the talents and dedication of local 4-H and Fair Board members.

The 2025 Pickaway County Jr. Fair Royalty includes Queen Kaitlyn Ball, Queen Attendant Lilly Moyer, King Dalton Bush, and King Attendant James Curtis, with Avery Hines named Princess.

Queen Kaitlyn Ball, an 18-year-old from Orient and daughter of Melissa Corbin and Jason Ball, is a 10-year member of the Scioto Scrappin’ & More 4-H club and a four-year member of the Junior Fair Board, where she serves as Vice President and Royalty committee member. A recent Teays Valley High School graduate, she was also a nine-year Girl Scout and held leadership roles in her 4-H club. With hobbies including acting, public speaking, show choir, French Club, and crochet, Kaitlyn will study Chorale Music Education at Miami University this fall.

Queen Attendant Lilly Moyer, a 17-year-old from Circleville and daughter of Jared and Chris Moyer, is a six-year member of the Buttons & Bowls 4-H club, serving as Secretary, Treasurer, and Vice President, and a third-year Junior Fair Board member on the Showman of Showmen committee. A Varsity Tennis player and Cheerleader at New Hope Christian Academy, where she’ll be a senior, Lilly enjoys art, singing, cheerleading, and collecting objects, aiming to become an Army Animal Care Specialist.

King Dalton Bush, a 17-year-old from Orient and son of Eric and Deborah Bush, boasts 12 years in 4-H with the Darby Fine and Dandy club, holding roles as President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary. A three-year Westfall FFA member and two-year Junior Fair Board member, he co-chairs the Cloverbud committee and serves as treasurer. A Westfall High School senior, Dalton loves golf, volleyball, camping, and cooking, with plans to become a large animal veterinarian.

King Attendant James Curtis, a 17-year-old from Circleville and son of Carrie and Franklin Curtis, is a six-year Kountry Kids 4-H member and two-year Westfall FFA member. A three-year Junior Fair Board member on the Education committee, he cherishes the fair’s community vibe. A Westfall High School senior, James enjoys wrestling, camping, track & field, and fishing, aspiring to be a Firefighter/EMS.

Princess Avery Hines, a 10-year Madison a 4-H member and first-year Junior Fair Board member, is the daughter of Andrew and Avery Hines from Ashville. A Teays Valley High School sophomore and Teays Valley FFA member, she aims to become a large animal veterinarian specializing in farm animals.
