CIRCLEVILLE, OH — The Circleville Police Department responded to a total of 36 calls for service on May 7, 2025, ranging from theft reports and suspicious vehicles to traffic stops and warrant attempts. The day’s log reflects a wide variety of law enforcement activity across the city.
The day began just after midnight on North Court Street, where officers checked on a suspicious vehicle at 12:40 a.m., later deeming it safe. Throughout the early morning hours, police responded to several alarm drops on East Main Street and East Mound Street, all of which were cleared without incident.
Officers attempted to locate individuals with active warrants on multiple occasions—including on East Mound Street, East Ohio Street, and Turner Drive—but in most cases, the subjects were gone on arrival or unable to be located. However, a warrant report was taken during the 8:17 p.m. incident on Turner Drive.

A number of traffic stops throughout the day resulted in both citations and warnings, including stops on West Main Street, East Main Street, and US 23. Notably, a traffic stop on West Main Street around 1:44 a.m. led to a citation.
Later in the morning, emergency crews responded to an injury accident on Walnut Creek Pike, but the involved party did not require transport, and the situation was handled on scene.
Police also took theft reports from residents on Maplewood Avenue, East Main Street, and East Union Street, and responded to a fraud case on South Court Street.
Other noteworthy incidents included:
- Trespassing on Watt Street (report taken)
- Threats and harassment reported on East Main Street and East Ohio Street
