Chillicothe Police Respond to Multiple Incidents in Busy Day of Arrests and Investigations

CHILLICOTHE, OH (May 4, 2025) — The Chillicothe Police Department responded to a series of incidents throughout Saturday, May 3, ranging from warrant arrests and disorderly conduct to a reported burglary and counterfeit money complaint, according to the department’s daily media report.

The day began early with two arrests related to active warrants. Around 2:19 a.m., officers made a traffic stop on Eastern Avenue resulting in an arrest. Less than an hour later, a woman was taken into custody on East 7th Street after police discovered an active warrant during a patrol check.

At approximately 6:00 a.m., police were dispatched to 96 South Mulberry Street after receiving a report of stolen medication. The theft is under investigation.

Later in the morning, officers responded to S. Walnut Street for a report of a disorderly and intoxicated woman in a lobby, and then to Walmart on River Trace Lane, where a man allegedly became disorderly inside the Woodforest National Bank. The man reportedly threw personal items and cash on the store floor. Walmart staff requested he be barred from the premises.

Mid-afternoon, officers responded to Glencroft Avenue after reports of gunshots in the area. An arrest was made, though no further details were provided.

Additional calls came in for theft on North Paint Street, a burglary on Madison Avenue, and two incidents of criminal trespass and disorderly conduct on North Bridge Street, including one at Raising Cane’s involving a domestic dispute.

A separate incident on East 2nd Street led to an arrest for harassment by an inmate, and a counterfeit money complaint at Walgreens on N. Bridge Street also drew police attention.

In traffic enforcement, officers issued a citation for a stop sign violation on North Paint Street and pulled over a white Honda Accord on N. Bridge Street for unsafe driving and a broken license plate light near Chillicothe Mall.

The day’s last notable incident involved a disorderly dispute on Toledo Street shortly before 10:30 p.m., which remains under investigation.

In total, 17 police reports were logged, including multiple arrests and active investigations. Authorities continue to follow up on several of the day’s calls.
