CHILLICOTHE, OH — Officers with the Chillicothe Police Department responded to 24 incidents on April 30, 2025, ranging from drug arrests and traffic violations to theft, trespassing, and domestic disturbances.

The day began just after midnight with a trespassing complaint on South Walnut Street, followed shortly by a drug-related arrest during a citizen contact on Washington Avenue. Officers also responded to disorderly conduct at the Kroger on Western Avenue.

Around 6:45 a.m., police were called to West 6th Street for a reported theft and criminal mischief. By mid-morning, officers responded to a drug overdose and warrant situation on East 2nd Street and conducted a traffic stop involving a failure to yield on North Walnut Street.

Throughout the day, multiple traffic stops were made for offenses such as expired plates, speeding, and driving without a valid license. One such stop on South Hickory Street led to charges of operating a motor vehicle without a license and wrongful entrustment.

Officers also investigated a series of thefts — including reports from North Bridge Street, South Sugar Street, and Walmart on River Trace Lane. A separate crash with a hit-skip driver was reported on Columbus Street.

Later in the evening, officers handled a violation of a protection order on East 4th Street and a domestic dispute on Pawnee Road. Disorderly conduct was observed near Water and Walnut Streets, and a warrant investigation wrapped up the day just before midnight at East Main Street.

Several non-criminal incidents — including downed wires, speed enforcement, and trespassing complaints — were also recorded, with investigations ongoing in several cases.
