Circleville Police Respond to Wide Range of Incidents on April 30

CIRCLEVILLE, OH — The Circleville Police Department responded to nearly 50 calls for service on April 30, 2025, handling everything from traffic stops and trespassing to domestic incidents and 911 hang-ups.

The day began just after midnight with a traffic stop on South Court Street where a warning was issued. Throughout the early morning hours, officers responded to suspicious vehicles, warrant checks, and well-being concerns. At 2:16 a.m., suspicious property was found on East Franklin Street and seized by police.

At 3:13 a.m., officers took a report involving trespassing on U.S. 23. Later in the morning, police handled a domestic disturbance on East Franklin Street and issued multiple citations during traffic stops across town.

An incident involving threats and harassment at 12:16 p.m. on Edwards Road required squad transport to the hospital. A later traffic stop around 1:13 p.m. led to an arrest.

Trespassing continued to be a concern throughout the day with multiple reports taken, including one on East Main Street just after 4 p.m. Officers also investigated an assault on the 300 block of Walnut Street around 4:55 p.m.

Evening incidents included a violation of a protection order on Nicholas Drive and reports involving an unruly juvenile and a juvenile complaint, both resulting in formal reports. A late-night domestic disturbance on Gumm Place closed out the day’s activity.

The department also dealt with numerous 911 hang-up calls, vehicle lockouts, property damage, and complaints of disturbances and harassment. Several calls, including warrant checks and reports of homeless individuals, resulted in officers being unable to locate those involved.
