
CHILLICOTHE — City police responded to a range of calls across Chillicothe on Sunday, April 27, handling reports of domestic violence, criminal mischief, drug possession, animal bites, and several traffic violations.
Shortly after midnight, officers were dispatched to Lincoln Park for a report of a missing juvenile. Around 1:19 a.m., a traffic stop on South Bridge Street resulted in a citation for drug possession, driving under suspension (DUS), and a failure to yield violation. Another DUS citation was issued at 2:54 a.m. after a stop near North High and Vine streets.
Later that morning, police responded to a 911 hang-up at Sherman Park, which led to a domestic violence investigation. Around 10:30 a.m., officers were called back to Sherman Park for a criminal mischief complaint.
In the afternoon, a criminal trespass case was opened following an assault reported on 4th Street. At 6:29 p.m., officers responded to Scioto Avenue for a dog bite incident that remains under investigation.

Criminal trespass complaints continued into the evening with a case reported from Madison Avenue at 7:30 p.m. and disorderly conduct reported at 8:09 p.m. on Clay Street following threats made at a residence.
Later Sunday night, officers were called to Jefferson Avenue and then returned to Clay Street after reports of an intoxicated male who had contacted the VA hotline expressing suicidal thoughts.
Finally, just before midnight, a traffic stop at East Water Street was conducted for a license plate violation, with the investigation ongoing.
The Chillicothe Police Department continues to investigate several of these incidents.
