The day began just before 2 a.m. with a domestic disturbance on Willow Lane, for which a report was taken. Officers were kept busy throughout the morning, handling incidents such as an unruly juvenile on John Street, a downed utility line on Lancaster Pike, and multiple reports of harassment and threats — including one on East Main Street that resulted in a formal report.
At 10:59 a.m., police responded to Nicholas Drive for a violation of a protection order, also resulting in a report. A well-being check on Edwards Road at 11:10 a.m. came up empty, with officers unable to locate the individual.
The department also responded to property damage on South Court Street, a fraud report on Crossing Boulevard, and a vandalism case, also on South Court. A significant incident occurred at 4:31 p.m. on Tarlton Road, where the Circleville Fire Department was requested for mutual aid. One person was transported to the hospital from that scene.
Other notable calls included juvenile complaints, parking issues, civil matters, and multiple threats or harassment cases, including incidents on Barry Drive and West Water Street.
Traffic enforcement included stops on Walnut Street and U.S. Route 23, where officers issued warnings. An alarm drop on East Ohio Street and suspicious activity on East Mill Street were both checked and found to be secure.
Several calls, such as reports of a reckless driver (or “hottrodder”) on Sunset Drive and well-being checks on North Court Street and South Court Street, ended with officers either finding the area clear or the individuals gone on arrival.
The Circleville Police Department continues to urge residents to report suspicious or concerning activity and reminds the community that officer presence is ongoing and responsive to a wide range of public safety
