June 25, 2019
Deputies were dispatched to a Mohler Road address regarding a protection order violation. Upon their arrival, they located Zachary Smith, 28, who was not permitted to be at the residence and arrested him for Violating a protection (M-1) and transported him to SEORJ. As he was being processed by jail personnel, they located suspected methamphetamine in his sock, The item was seized and will be submitted to the Ohio BCI & I for testing.***

Deputies were dispatched to a Chieftain Drive address regarding a male individual knocking on residences doors and causing alarm. The individual was located and transported to O’Bleness hospital in Athens for evaluation. ***

Deputies were dispatched to a Mohler Road address regarding an individual who was intoxicated and threatening harm to himself over a marital situation. Upon their arrival, they met with the individual who was taken into for custody disorderly conduct and transported to SEORJ where he could speak with a mental health professional once he became sober. ***

Deputies were dispatched to a rental cabin near South Bloomingville regarding suspected drugs located in a cabin by a cleaning person. A glass container with an unknown white substance, Tupperware container containing a baggie with residue and snorting straw was collected. There are no suspects and unsure how long the items had been in the location before being found. ***

Deputies were dispatched to a Keifel Road address regarding a verbal domestic dispute. No threats or assault occurred and one of the parties agreed to leave the residence. ***

Deputies responded to a residence on Geiger Road regarding an assault. A caregiver at the residence stated she was assault by a resident of the home. Thomas Brooks, 40 was charged with assault and transported to SEORJ. ***

Deputies took a report from a Maysville-Williams Road resident regarding the theft of a gift card and cash.
