Alice M. Kelly, 77, of Chillicothe, died 4:12 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2016, in Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, following a brief illness.
She was born Dec. 23, 1938, in Circleville, to the late John Robinson and Retha Ramsey.
Surviving are children, Jacqueline L. Young and her partner, Rhonda Ellis, of Columbus and Robert L. Young II of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Justin (Lindsey Poling) Young and Kaitlyn J. Young; and great-grandchildren, Taylor and Madelyn Young, all of Chillicothe.
She was predeceased by sisters, Garnett Epley and Helen Craig.
Alice was a member of St. Mary’s Church. She retired in 2001 from the Chillicothe VA Medical Center following 22 years of service and had also worked for General Electric and Sears.
Alice graduated with honors from Circleville High School in 1957.
She loved all animals, was a member of the ASPCA and had loved and cared from many cats and dogs during her lifetime.
In keeping with her wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral services. A private burial will be held in St. Margaret Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Ross County Humane Society, 2308 A Lick Run Rd., Chillicothe, Ohio 45601.
