
PERRY TOWNSHIP, Ohio — The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an injury crash involving a semi-truck that occurred Thursday morning, October 23, 2025, at 11:29 a.m. at the intersection of State Route 41 SE and Anderson Road in Perry Township.
The driver, 77-year-old Charles W. Link of Washington Court House, was operating a 2016 Freightliner tractor-trailer loaded with fertilizer southbound on State Route 41 when he attempted a right turn onto Anderson Road. The truck veered off the left side of the roadway and overturned, leaving Link trapped inside.
Fire personnel from the Washington Court House and Concord-Green Fire Departments extricated Link from the vehicle. He was then airlifted by Med-Flight helicopter to a medical facility in the Columbus area for treatment. Fayette County EMS also assisted at the scene.
The roadway remained closed while crews cleared the crash, reopening around 3:45 p.m.
The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
