Circleville, Ohio — A Circleville man turned a small gamble into a big win after claiming a $50,000 prize from the Ohio Lottery’s $10 scratch-off game, $500,000 Bankroll.
The winning ticket was purchased at Kroger #844, located at 175 Lancaster Pike in Circleville. After mandatory state and federal taxes totaling 26.75%, the winner will take home $36,625.
Ohio Lottery officials said the $500,000 Bankroll game still offers significant chances to win. As of January 2, 2026, two top prizes of $500,000 and nine second-tier prizes of $50,000 remain unclaimed statewide.
Since its inception in 1974, the Ohio Lottery has contributed more than $34 billion to support education across the state. More information about lottery games and how proceeds benefit education can be found at ohiolottery.com/supportingeducation.
