Woman Arrested in Circleville Walmart for Being “Extremely Intoxicated” with Two Toddlers

PICKAWAY – A woman is in custody after Pickaway Sheriffs office received a report of, “a woman extremely intoxicated in Circleville Walmart with two young children.”

According to Police reports around noon on December 19, 2019 Pickaway Sheriff was dispatched the the local Circleville Walmart located at 1470 S. Court Street. When officers arrived on the scene they immediately requested a squad due to the intoxication of the woman.

The Officer described her as, “extremely slurred speech, had to use the cart she was pushing to keep her balance and had a blue powder under her left nostril.”

The woman also had two toddlers with her ages one and two.

Pickaway Township EMS later arrived, the woman stated to EMS personnel, “that she had snorted half a Xanax pill.”

Sheriff Lt. at that time put her under arrest because of the immediate danger to the young toddlers and her current state.

Sonya Sprouse was transported to Pickaway County Jail, charged with Disorderly Conduct and Endangering Children.

The two children were given to a family member.
