Update: Ross County Accident Sends One to Hospital in Critical Condition

Chillicothe – The Chillicothe Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a single vehicle crash that occurred on Frankfort Clarksburg Pike, south of State Route 138, in Deerfield Township.
On April 23, 2020 at 5:36 p.m., a 2019 Hyundai Kona, driven by Terrence Hicks, age 31, of Mooresville, North Carolina, was traveling southwest on Frankfort Clarksburg Pike, when the vehicle crossed over the center line and drove off the left side of the roadway. The vehicle then struck a utility pole, drove into a creek, and came to rest when it struck an embankment. Deerfield Township Fire and EMS responded to the scene and Mr. Hicks was transported to the Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe before he was transported to Grant Medical Center in Columbus with serious injuries.
Deerfield Township Fire Department assisted on scene. The crash remains under investigation.
