Two People Shot in Fayette County Were Allegedly Trespassing on Property

FAYETTE – Two people were shot by a home owner at the 6000 block of Lewis Road in Northeast Fayette County.


A call came in around 2 am to the 911 system that two suspects were on a homeowners property and he had shot one of them on his property. The homeowner then claimed the second person drove his car towards the homeowner and he fired his gun at that person also.

According to Fayette County Sheriffs office when deputies responded to the call, one of those deputies located the described vehicle and performed a traffic stop. During that stop deputies learned that that suspect had received a gun shot wound also.


Emergency crews arrived on scene and treated both of the supposed trespassers and were transferred to Fayette County Memorial Hospital with non life threatening injuries.

According to Fayette Sheriffs office the incident is under investigation as they process the crime scene. No charges at this time have gone against the suspects or the property owner. We will update when more info is released.
