PICKAWAY – Two past members of Logan Elm FFA receive the highest award given in FFA. The 91st National FFA Convention and Expo was held in October.  A total of 8,000 chapters across the US, Puerto Rico, and US Virgin Islands. This convention is held to bring all of those chapters together under one roof to celebrate what they enjoy the most, which is agriculture. Many keynote speakers were present, such as the CEO of John Deere, Samuel Allen, and The President of the United States, Donald J. Trump.

During this convention, the American Degree is given to the recipients from all over the country. The American Degree is the highest award capable of receiving within the organization. Students have to put endless time and money into agriculture related activities to be considered for this award. Some examples of the time and effort put forth by these past members include earning a minimum of $10,000 in agriculture related fields, contribute more than 50 hours of community service, and have a record of outstanding leadership abilities and achieved community involvement.

Please help me congratulate two past members of Logan Elm FFA who have now earned this prestigious American Degree award Kenton Dresbach and McKayla Swackhammer.
