According to people at the scene the car was having issues from Krogers on 22 to the turn where it caught on fire.  “seemed to be a transmission issue said a bystander, he was revving the engine hard all the way down the road before it caught on fire.”

According to Circleville K9 Officer Mike Morningstar, he checked the fluid on the ground on 22, and it was transmission fluid.  The driver escaped the fire unharmed, and the car was a total loss.  Circleville Fire/EMS and Circleville Police were on scene.
