Three Accidents in Circleville Yesterday Send Three to Hospital

CIRCLEVILLE – Three accidents occured in Circleville yesterday within about five hours inside the City Limits.

The first accident occurred around 3:50 pm at 175 East Main Street when an white Ford Escape attempted to turn out of the Krogers parking lot into East Main, when doing so pulled into the path of a Black Dodge Ram 1500.

According to police the driver of the Ford was transported to Berger with injuries, along with the driver of the Dodge Truck. The White Ford was sited for the accident.

Second accident occurred around 6:50 pm at the intersection of Pickaway Street and Edison Ave.

According to police the man driving the motorcycle was heading east on Edison avenue when he failed to negotiate the stop sign and laid down the bike sliding into oncoming traffic on Pickaway Street.  The driver of the motorcycle was transported to Grant by ambulance in serious condition. Originally police requested a medical helicopter but it was declined due to weather. The driver of the pick up truck involved was not hurt but, told Sciotopost, “that he tried to stop but didn’t have time before contacting the man and the motorcycle.”

Third Accident occurred around 7:36 pm at the intersection of Pickaway and Main Street when the driver of a Toyota Pickup truck was turning west from Pickaway to Main Street and failed to yield to oncoming traffic and hit a Dodge Neon that was driving south on Pickaway Street.

Neither driver was hurt in the accident and were both wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident.
