The Thornsville Backwoods Fest Cancels 2020 Festival

Thornsville – Thornsville Backwoods fest has made a statement after Dewines statement on Fair orders.

The Backwoods Fest regretfully announces the cancellation of the 26th Backwoods Fest scheduled for September 18th-20th due to State and Local bans on mass gatherings.

The uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic simply prevents safely moving forward with the Fest. The well-being of our workers, exhibitors and attendees is our highest priority and based on the information we have today, the risk is simply too great. Thank you for understanding this difficult decision.

Hearing all the concerns from the local and state health departments, and the CDC, it was the right decision to be made to keep people safe and healthy.

We had a full show of vendors ready and willing to go forth. We want to personally thank all the vendors who have continued to support us. The decision was out of our hands, the Ohio State and Perry County Health Departments had the final say.

We look forward to the biggest and best Fest ever in 2021.
