COLUMBUS – Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers filed felony drug charges against an Ohio man and a West Virginia woman after a traffic stop in Scioto County. During the traffic stop, troopers seized 458 grams of methamphetamine and 28 grams of heroin worth approximately $48,600.

On March 6, at 1:45 a.m., troopers stopped a 2019 Nissan Sentra with Ohio registration for marked lanes and following too close violations on state Route 823. The driver, Marvin T. Keaton, 38, Columbus, and passenger, Faith A. Slayton, 23, Huntington, were incarcerated in the Scioto County Jail and charged with possession of methamphetamine, a first-degree felony and possession of heroin, a second-degree felony.

If convicted, each could face up to 19 years in prison and up to a $35,000 fine.
