Eileen Annabelle (Morgan) (Foster) Huskey, 87, of Circleville, died Oct. 9, 2015, in Columbus, after a five-month battle with non-Hodgkins lymphoma.

Born Aug. 24, 1928, in Portsmouth, she was the youngest of Raymond and Pauline Morgan’s three daughters and survived polio as a child.

She was a 1946 graduate of Portsmouth High School, where she was inducted into the National Honor Society. She became a registered nurse after completing training at Saint Mary’s School of Nursing in Huntington, West Virginia.

She worked in a Portsmouth hospital and a doctor’s office until her marriage to Teddy L. Foster in 1953. They lived in Ada, Williamsburg, Minerva and Somerset before settling in Circleville in 1960, when he was hired as a pharmacist at Bingman’s Drug Store. When the store was bombed in 1967, she was widowed with five children to raise.

In Circleville, she worked as a public health nurse, in the Emergency and Surgery departments at Berger Hospital and at the Circleville Senior Center.

In 1971, she married C. George Huskey, a widower with five children. While the children were in school, Mrs. Huskey volunteered as a school nurse, chaperoned countless field trips, and was active in PTAs, band and sports booster clubs, Scouts, and the AFS student exchange.

Mrs. Huskey was a Red Cross nurse and a longtime member of Community United Methodist Church. A Life Master bridge player, she was a member of the Circleville Bridge Club. She was a world traveler, a bowler and a consummate Buckeyes fan, as well as a member of a women’s investment club and the Red Hat Society.

She was pre-deceased by her parents; her first husband; her sisters, June Wolfe and Virginia Speeg; and grandson, Patrick Huskey.

She is survived by her husband, George; and 10 children, Meg Huskey of Pownal, Maine, Susan (Steve) Woas of New Port Ritchey, Florida, Karen (Jim) Nolan of Vacaville, California, Dickerson (Sarah) Huskey of Blue Ash, Ty (Deborah) Foster of Cincinnati, Joni Foster (James Shuler) of Lockhart, Texas, Clark (Carla) Huskey of Columbus, Robert (Alice) Foster of Circleville, Donald (Kelli) Foster of Westerville, Lee Huskey of Sidney, and daughter-in-law, Barb of Sidney. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a niece and three nephews.

Visitation will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Wellman Funeral Home, 1455 N. Court St., Circlevile. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Community United Methodist Church, 120 N. Pickaway St. Burial will be in Forest Cemetery.
