Haven House of Pickaway County will host its annual Silent Victims March on Oct. 5 in recognition of October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
The public is invited to participate in the march that will stage at 10 a.m. Monday in the parking lot at Community United Methodist Church on East Main Street. The silent march will begin about 10:20 a.m. under police escort to the Pickaway County Courthouse, where the event will include guest speakers, a singer and a moment of silence for victims of domestic violence.
Anyone who cannot or prefers not to march is welcome to join the group at the courthouse for the event. Everyone who wishes will receive a purple balloon for the balloon launch, along with a purple ribbon to wear.
