Avonelle L. Imler

Avonelle Louise (Timberman) Imler, 83, of Kingston, passed from Earth to Heaven on Sept. 18, 2015, surrounded by her family and close friends.

She was predeceased by her husband, Daniel Imler, whom she married July 8, 1950; her infant daughter, Diane Imler; parents, Clarence and Ina Timberman; and sister, Vivian Stewart.

She is survived by her daughter, Paula (Bill) Conley of Kingston; and sister, Naomi (Dale) Miller of Dayton.

The family wants to recognize Shirley Justice, her best friend of 49 years, and Fred Chaffin, whom she claimed as her adopted son.

The family also wants to thank Heartland Nursing Home of Chillicothe, her nurse, Patty Speakman, and a special thanks to Jeanine Hansberry, whom we feel God placed in her life to be a great blessing. They were roommates for three years, and we thank God for placing them together.

Avonelle was a member of the Rising Son Church for 49 years and was the church’s piano player. She was a great seamstress, artist and musician, but above all, a good friend. Her life was full, loving her God, family and church. She will be greatly missed by all.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2015, at the Rising Son Church with Rev. Shirley Justice and Rev. Fred Chaffin officiating. Burial will follow in the Golden Valley Light Cemetery. Calling hours will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the church.

Services are under the direction of the Hill Funeral Home, Kingston. Condolences can be made online at www.hillfhkingston.com.
