CIRCLEVILLE – Beginning Thursday, U.S. Route 23 will be reduced to one lane of traffic in each direction from North Court Street south to the Ross County line from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day through Oct. 15 for resurfacing work, according to the Ohio Department of Transportation. This work will affect both northbound and southbound traffic.

This new project is in addition to ongoing road projects being performed by ODOT District 6, including the drainage work on state Route 752 at the underpass between U.S. Route 23 and state Route 316. That roadway is set to reopen Sept. 11.

State Route 159 is reduced to one lane of two-way traffic maintained by flaggers between Kingston-Adelphi Road and Pine Grove Road for resurfacing and replacing guardrails. The completion date for that project is set for Sept. 18.

State Route 56 between Tarlton Adelphi Road and Stumpf Road also is closed to replace the bridge over Salt Creek, with a completion date of Oct. 15.

Also, County Road 9 is closed between Tarlton Road and Gay Dreisbach Road for a bridge replacement with completion anticipated on Oct. 23.
