MONROE TOWNSHIP – A Chillicothe man was killed Thursday afternoon when his vehicle crashed into a tree and erupted in flames on Whiteside Road, according to Sheriff Robert Radcliff.

Andrew B. Justice, 32, was pronounced dead at the scene by Dr. Michael Geron, assistant Pickaway County Coroner.

According to reports, the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office answered a call reporting the crash at 4:30 p.m. Upon arrival, deputies found the 2000 Chevrolet Impala fully engulfed in flames with Justice still inside.

Invesigators determined Justice was traveling northbound on Whiteside Road just south of Call Road when he went off the right side of the roadway into a ditch and struck a tree. The accident remains under investigation by the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office.

Crews from Tri-County Joint Fire District in Mt. Sterling handled the accident scene.
