Tommy E. Cox

Tommy Eugene Cox, 56, of Laurelville, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 30, 2015.

He was born on Dec. 6, 1958, in Ross County, to Russell and Billie (Sexton) Cox.

He was a self-employed carpenter and had worked as an apple farmer at Fee’s Orchard.

He loved classic rock and roll and country and was very knowledgeable about it. He also loved riding his Harley and spending time with family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Fred Fee; brother, Danny Ray Phillips; sister, Janet Ross; and brother-in-law, Don Thompson.

Tommy is survived by his son, Brandon (Jennifer) Cox; step-granddaughter, Annabelle Marshall; brother, David (Cheri) Phillips; sisters, Ella Thompson, Bonnie (Jerry) Williams, Sue (Roger) Congrove, Cheryl (PeeWee) Thompson and Sally (David) Smith; and by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 3, 2015, at the Wellman Funeral Home, Laurelville, with Pastor James Vandagriff officiating. Cremation will take place after the service. Friends may call from 3 to 6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home in Laurelville.
