August 14

– An employee at UDF on East Main Street reported two females stole beer from the store and fled on foot. A report was taken on theft.

– A resident in the 400 block of North Scioto Street reported he was robbed by two known males near the courthouse. The victim advised he had gone to the gas station with the males, and as they stopped near the courthouse, another male subject showed up in a vehicle, pushed him into a light pole and stole his medication. All three subjects then left the scene. A report was taken on theft.

– Kenneth E. Roseberry of East High Street was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of menacing in the alley behind the 300 block of Watt Street. A juvenile also was arrested at the scene on an outstanding warrant.

– Officers responded to a parking complaint in the area of South Scioto and West Franklin streets.

– A resident in the 100 block of Logan Street reported a 12-year-old male struck his mother and the caller with a belt buckle. Officers advised there was no assault, and the juvenile said he would straighten up. No report was taken.

– Officers responded to a domestic dispute in the 300 block of East Mill Street. A report was taken.

– An employee of the Pickaway County Health Department requested an officer stand-by while she delivered a nuisance letter in the 800 block of South Scioto Street. The stand-by was completed.

– Officers responded to an activated alarm in the 100 block of Rustic Drive. The scene checked OK.

– A resident came to the police station to report unauthorized charges on the bank account of his neighbor, who was incarcerated in the Pickaway County Jail. Officers advised it was a civil issue.

– A resident came to the police station to report a lost or stolen gun that had been shipped to an out-of-town gun retail store. The last known location of the weapon was the Kingston Pike Post Office, and the resident was referred to the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office.

– An officer performed a stand-by at General Electric on East Ohio Street for a subject to retrieve some property. The stand-by was completed, and extra patrol was requested in the 300 block of Eva Drive.

– The Ohio State Highway Patrol requested a medic at Taco Bell on U.S. Route 23 for a male with a head injury following an altercation with another male. The call was then canceled when the trooper reported the injury was old.

– An employee at Rhoads Construction came to the police station to report someone had forged one of his company checks and cashed it. A report was taken.

– A 911 caller reported a male subject appeared to be passed out at the Pickaway County Library on North Court Street. The subject was transported to Berger Hospital.

– A caller reported a male subject yelled at her older children because they wanted to use the exercise equipment at Mary Virginia Crites-Hannan Park. Officers advised the male said he was yelling at his own children, who were running away. The scene checked OK.

– A resident in the 400 block of East Mound Street reported her son’s bicycle had been stolen. A report was taken.

– A resident in the 300 block of Logan Street reported five juveniles were trespassing on his neighbor’s property. He then called back to report the juveniles ran away, but the house door was open. Officers secured the door and left a door hanger for the homeowner. They were unable to locate the juveniles.

– A resident in the 400 block of Brookhaven Place reported someone had damaged their pool. A report was taken on vandalism.

– Officers responded to a domestic dispute in the 200 block of West Mound Street. The officer on the scene requested a medic for a female with difficulty breathing. A report was taken on the dispute.

– A resident came to the police station to report he was being harassed at the soup kitchen at the Presbyterian Church on East Mound Street. Officers advised no threats were made, and no report was taken.

– A 911 caller reported someone squirted mustard and other things on his vehicle in the 300 block of Watt Street. No damage was reported, and the caller was advised to call back if any damage was located.

– A resident in the 100 block of East Mill Street reported her adult sister was causing problems, and the dispatcher could hear a female screaming in the background. A report was taken on a domestic dispute.

– A property owner came to the police station to report three subjects arrived at her daughter’s residence in the 100 block of Watt Street and pounded on the door, and she believed it was connected to a custody dispute. Information was obtained, and the resident was advised to call if the subjects returned.

– A resident in the 100 block of West High Street reported her son’s bicycle had been stolen. A report was taken on theft.

– A resident in the 900 block of South Washington Street reported a known subject keeps calling and texting her. The officer advised no threats were made, and no report was taken.

– A caller reported a male subject was climbing on poles and the awning at Mary Virginia Crites-Hannan Park and encouraging children to do the same. The male was located and advised not to climb on the playground equipment. Nothing appeared to be damaged.

– Officers took a report on drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop at Fast Lane Marathon on East Main Street.

– A caller reported several people were walking around Ted Lewis Park and sounded like there was a fight at the pool area. Officers were unable to locate the subjects.

– A 911 caller reported a neighbor was drunk and came pounding on her door in the 100 block of Gale Court. When the caller told her to go home, she tripped over a flower pot and was then screaming outside of the apartment. One subject was transported to Berger Hospital, and both subjects were advised to stay away from each other.

– A 911 caller reported two females just kicked in the door of a residence in the 200 block of Timberline Drive. Officers advised the female resident had locked her keys inside the residence. The scene checked OK.

– A resident in the 400 block of Ruth Avenue reported four young juveniles in the area running up to houses, knocking on doors and then running off. Officers were unable to locate the juveniles.

– A resident in the 100 block of South Western Avenue reported her 12-year-old daughter was constantly running away and sneaking out of the house, and she had caught her trying to climb out of the window. The parent advised she would handle the problem.

– A resident in the 300 block of East Franklin Street reported someone was running up and pounding on doors and windows of the house several times. Officers were unable to locate the subjects.

– Kevin Pennington was arrested for disorderly conduct by intoxication at the Main Street Pub on West Main Street.

August 15

– Officers responded to an activated alarm at CVS on East Main Street. The scene checked OK.

– A caller reported a vehicle struck and damaged a utility pole at North Pickaway Street and Folsom Avenue and then left the scene. AEP was called to the scene to repair the damage, and the streets were shut down during the repair. The subject who struck the pole was located, and a report was taken on a hit-skip accident.

– A resident came to the police station to report a friend of his girlfriend had taken his truck two months ago and wrecked it, stating they hit a deer, but he just discovered they had struck another vehicle instead. The resident was referred to the city prosecutor’s office.

– A resident reported there were subjects screaming in the area of Duke and Duchess on East Main Street. The clerk at the store advised it was actually the caller who was causing the problem, and he was asked to leave.

– A caller reported she could hear a woman screaming on South Scioto Street between West Mill and West Corwin streets. Officers were unable to locate the subject.

– Kevin Pennington was arrested in the 400 block of Faye Avenue after officers responded to two 911 hang-up calls from that location. The sergeant on the scene advised of an active domestic dispute, and a squad was requested for a subject with injuries from a taser deployment. Pennington was charged with disorderly conduct by intoxication and persisting.

– A resident in the 500 block of East Ohio Street reported a dog barking for several hours at the location. The officer spoke to the owner, who advised they would attempt to keep the dogs quiet. The officer advised the complainant made comments that if police could not resolve the constant barking, he would be willing to pay the fine and serve jail time for shooting the dog. The complainant was advised.

– An officer advised finding trash, glass and debris in the roadway at South Court and Corwin streets. The service department was notified, and the fire department assisted in sweeping items to the curb.

– A squad was requested as mutual aid for an accident in the 17000 block of Little Walnut Road outside of the city.

– A caller reported a mechanical malfunction at the railroad tracks on West Main Street. Norfolk Southern police and maintenance personnel were advised.

– Officers responded to a domestic dispute in the 100 block of East Franklin Street. One subject suffered injuries when he cut himself on a broken mirror but declined medical attention. A report was taken on a domestic dispute.

– A 911 caller reported finding a disoriented male in the 100 block of Walnut Creek Pike who could not identify himself or provide any information. The officer advised the male suffered from Alzheimer’s, and his wife and aid were en route.

– A caller reported finding a girl’s bicycle in the alley beside her residence in the 100 block of East Mill Street. A report was taken on found property.

– An employee at Dollar General on North Court Street reported a male subject came into the store with an empty bag and left with a full bag, and he did not pay for any services or merchandise. A report was taken on theft.

– A resident in the 1200 block of Turner Drive reported she was threatened by a known subject. A report was taken on menacing.

– A 911 caller reported he was drunk and needed a ride home in the 100 block of South Scioto Street. Officers located a sober party to take care of the caller on the scene.

– A resident in the 100 block of Gale Court requested extra patrol due to an ongoing neighbor dispute.

– Kenneth Roseberry, 18, Noah Thompson, 18, and Colten Teeter, 18, were arrested for disorderly conduct by fighting and a warrant on Thompson after a caller reported a fight between three young adult males in the 500 block of East Franklin Street. While dispatching an officer, the caller reported one of the males had been stabbed with a sword and was bleeding from the stomach. A squad was requested, but the subject refused treatment at the scene.

– A resident in the 100 block of South Court Street reported an active fight between two neighboring tenants, and one of the males had a bloodied face. A squad was requested, but treatment was refused at the scene. An arrest was made, and a report was taken on assault.

– An employee from Christopher’s Boutique on South Court Street reported a male and female stole several items from the store. A report was taken on theft.

– Officers responded to an activated alarm at the South Court Street Car Wash. The scene checked OK.

– A 911 caller reported a domestic dispute outside in the 500 block of Lincoln Avenue. Officers were unable to locate the subjects.

– A resident in the 100 block of Pontious Lane reported someone stole her cigarettes. No report was taken by request.

– A 911 caller reported a male lying in the grass near UDF on Lancaster Pike, and she believed he was drunk. Officers located the male and requested a squad to the scene. The subject was transported to Berger Hospital.

– A resident came to the police station to report he dropped his child off to the mother on Hayward Avenue and was assaulted by a known subject. A report was taken on assault.

– A 911 caller reported he was arrested earlier in the day, and the male with whom he was fighting pushed his way into the apartment and pushed his fiancee while trying to get to him. Officers advised there was an exchange of words but no physical altercation.

– A caller reported subjects were fighting on the lot of South Court Car Wash, and they were now chasing each other in vehicles down Walnut Street. Officers were unable to locate the subjects.

– A caller reported three suspicious people near the west entrance to Pickaway-Ross on East Mound Street. The subjects were located and advised they were just talking. The scene checked OK.

– A caller reported three males and a female were standing in the parking lot in the rear of the 200 block of South Scioto Street and breaking beer bottles. Officers located the subjects and advised there were no bottles anywhere, and the subjects were not intoxicated. The scene checked OK.

– A caller reported several underage people in a back yard in the 300 block of East Franklin Street who were drinking and being loud. Officers advised no underage subjects were located, but they were advised of the noise ordinance.

August 16

– A 911 caller reported a domestic dispute between a subject and his father in a parking lot in the 100 block of Watt Street. A report was taken on theft.

– A resident in the 200 block of Logan Street reported a neighbor’s dog is constantly outside barking. The officer advised there were eight dogs as the residence. Officers made contact with the owner, and the dogs were taken inside.

– A caller reported a possible disturbance in front of Tootle’s on East Main Street. Officers advised the scene checked OK.

– Willard T. Carrel of South Court Street was arrested on a warrant for assault from the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office at Duke and Duchess on East Main Street. Fletcher’s removed his vehicle from the lot at the request of the business.

– A caller reported he allowed his 12-year-old daughter to stay at a friend’s house on Logan Street, but when he went to check on her, no one would answer the door, and he was concerned. The caller later advised his daughter returned and checked OK.

– A resident came to the police station requesting to go to jail for the night because he had been drinking, and his ex-girlfriend was following him around and had pulled out some of his hair. The male would not give his name, but he wanted to know if he peed on the floor in the lobby, if that would be enough to get him arrested. Officers advised the male was not intoxicated, and he was transported to a residence on Huston Street.

– Officers responded to an activated alarm at Roosters on U.S. Route 23. The scene checked OK.

– Officers were requested as mutual aid outside the city limits for an elderly male with dementia being combative.

– Officers responded to a parking complaint in the 500 block of East Franklin Street.

– A caller reported someone had vandalized her vehicle window in the 300 block of East Mound Street.

– A caller reported a smoke and heat alarm activation in the dining room in the 100 block of Rustic Drive. The fire department handled the scene.

– A caller reported a residence in the 1000 block of South Court Street was condemned but had someone living in it, using an outdoor extension cord to provide power and bringing water into the home. The caller also reported high grass at the location. The information was obtained for the nuisance officer.

– A resident in the 900 block of South Pickaway Street reported finding a book bag with some clothing inside in his yard. A report was taken on found property.

– Officers responded to a 911 hang-up call from Little Bear Market on Harrison Street. The scene checked OK.

– A 911 caller reported about eight people fighting in the street in the area of South Pickaway and Logan streets. A report was taken.

– A 911 caller reported a male subject stole a bottle of whiskey from the Gourmet Corner on North Court Street. A report was taken.

– A resident in the 100 block of Lewis Avenue reported someone had been coming into her apartment and taking food out of the refrigerator and freezer, and a recently-installed alarm system had been destroyed. The district officer was notified, and information was obtained.

– Officers responded to an activated alarm at Circleville Elementary School. The scene checked OK.

– A caller reported three males and two females approached a vehicle sitting on blocks in the 400 block of John Street, and that two males went to the rear of the home, retrieved four tires and were putting them on the vehicle. Officers advised the subjects checked OK.

– A resident in the 100 block of Fairview Blvd. reported someone stole his lawn mower. A report was taken.

– A caller requested a well-being check on her son in the 300 block of South Scioto Street. The caller then canceled the request when her son showed up at her house.

– A resident in the 400 block of Half Avenue reported her daughter was bitten by a dog. A report was taken.

– A resident in the 500 block of North Pickaway Street reported a group of five to seven males had knocked on his door and were threatening him and his wife. Officers were unable to locate the subjects, but they determined no threats were made.

– A caller reported three people hanging out at the back door of J.R. Hooks on Watt Street. Officers were unable to locate the subjects.

– A resident in the 500 block of Gumm Place reported a group of juveniles were continuously knocking on her door throughout the night and running away. A report was taken on a juvenile complaint.

– A resident in the 400 block of North Scioto Street reported a young male dropped a pill in their home. The item was identified as an over-the-counter antihistamine pill and was disposed of.

– A resident in the 500 block of North Pickaway Street reported someone kept running up and banging on the front door of the residence, then running off. Officers were unable to locate the subjects, and extra patrol was requested.

– An officer advised finding a mailbox lying on the ground in the 200 block of Clark Drive, but it did not appear to be damaged. A dayshift unit was advised to follow up with the resident the next morning.
