Donald Eugene Carle, 51, of Ashville, passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2015, at Ohio State University Hospital.

He was born on Aug. 9, 1963, in Columbus, to Lawrence and Dorothy (Bumgarner) Carle.

He attended The Ohio State University and was a member of the marching band. He was serving in the US Army, a veteran of Iraqi Freedom and served as an Army recruiter and a member of the Army band. He was the owner of Donald Carle Piano Tuning and an accomplished amateur photographer who loved classical music, politics, history, nutrition and fitness. He was also a dog lover.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Donald is survived by siblings, David (Clarice), Thomas (Laureen), Michael (Mary), James (Vera) and Pat Carle, Martha (Randy) McCoy, Donna Findley, Janet Matthews and Rosemary Kirk; special friend, Tom Downard; faithful companions, Argon and Jarmo; and by many nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 13, 2015, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Ted Machnik officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 1 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville. Rosary will be recited at 4:30 p.m.
