Circleville man killed in motorcycle crash

SALTCREEK TOWNSHIP – A Circleville man was killed Sunday after being ejected from his motorcycle in a crash on state Route 56 East near South Perry Road.

William J. McIntyre, 56, was pronounced dead at Berger Hospital following transport by Laurelville EMS from the crash scene.

According to reports, McIntyre was traveling eastbound on state Route 56 East on a 1992 Harley Davidson motorcycle about 2:48 p.m. when he was struck by a westbound 2012 Nissan Versa driven by a 16-year-old female and ejected from the motorcycle.

The juvenile also was injured and was transported by Air Evac to the Ohio State University Medical Center for treatment. Her injuries appeared to be non-life-threatening at the scene, according to Detective John Strawser.

The accident remains under investigation by the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office.
