CIRCLEVILLE – A local man was airlifted to Columbus for treatment on Friday after losing control in a curve and crashing his car on state Route 56 East.

Stivi Nechovski II, 23, of Route 56 East, was traveling westbound into the city about 8:58 a.m. when the crash occurred, according to Deputy Shad Wright, Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office.

Wright said Nechovski, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from the vehicle when it went off the right side of the roadway, but he was alert and oriented when emergency crews arrived.

He was transported by MedFlight to the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. His current condition is unknown.

Clearcreek Rescue and the Pickaway Township medic assisted at the scene, Wright said.
