John Eitel III, 63, of Ashville, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2015, at his home.
He was born on July 2, 1951, in Columbus, to John and Mary (Riser) Eitel Jr.
His father precedes him in death.
He graduated from Westfall High School and dedicated his life to helping others as a paramedic as well as a licensed practical nurse. He continued to take care of special needs children throughout his nursing career.
John is survived by his mother, Mary Sue Eitel; his wife, Brenda (Dixon) Eitel of Ashville, whom he married on Aug. 25, 2003; brothers, Brian (Joanne) Eitel of Darbyville and David Eitel of Laurelville; children, Johnny (Cinda) Eitel IV, Dustie (Bill Sadler) Stewart of Bellefontaine, Julie Dye of Ashville and Daniel (Shelly) Dye of Circleville; grandchildren, J.D., Ashley, Devon and Taylor Eitel, Tilly Kate Stewart, Josie Dye and Grayson Dye; one great-granddaughter, Alivia; and by many aunts, uncles, cousins, one niece, nephews and a very special little boy, Conor.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 11, 2015, at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville, with Chaplain Jim Ferrell officiating. Burial will be in Muhlenberg Darbyville Cemetery. Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
