Staff Reports

The following cases recently were heard by Judge P. Randall Knece in Pickaway County Common Pleas Court:

– Jonathan A. Barr, 26, of Columbus, pleaded guilty to burglary, theft and breaking and entering. He was sentenced to 30 months in state prison (suspended) and must serve 30 days in the county jail. He also must complete a community-based correctional facility program and serve three years of community control.

– Danny R. Bentley, 56, of Portsmouth, pleaded guilty to two counts of possession of cocaine. He will be sentenced following a pre-sentence investigation by the court.

– Derek M. Binkley, 33, of Meadow Drive, Circleville, pleaded guilty to a violation of community control. He was sentenced to 30 days in the county jail and must complete a day reporting program.

– William L. Gumm, 44, of Canal Street, Ashville, pleaded guilty to theft of drugs. He will be sentenced following a pre-sentence investigation by the court.

– Michael W. Hartzell, 23, of Davis Road, Mt. Sterling, pleaded guilty to theft and misuse of a credit card. He will be sentenced following a pre-sentence investigation by the court.

– Larry Johnson, 65, of Columbus, pleaded not guilty to possession of drugs. A pretrial hearing is set for June 12.

– Matthew S. Lindsey, 34, of Mechanicsburg, pleaded guilty to theft. He was sentenced to six months in state prison at Orient.

– David Lewis, 23, of Town Street, Circleville, pleaded guilty to a violation of terms of intervention. He was ordered to complete a community-based correctional facility program.

– Lindsey N. Pyle, 20, of Garden Parkway, Circleville, pleaded guilty to two counts of trafficking in heroin and two counts of trafficking in cocaine. She will be sentenced following a pre-sentence investigation by the court.

– Jessica R. Quito, 31, of Nicholas Square, Circleville, pleaded guilty to two counts of possession of cocaine. She will be sentenced following a pre-sentence investigation by the court.

– Robert A. Schofield, 50, of East Mill Street, Circleville, was found guilty by a jury of misdemeanor domestic violence. He was sentenced to six months in state prison and one year of community control.

– Ernest J. Thomas, 56, of Columbus, pleaded not guilty to non-support of dependents. A pretrial hearing is set for June 12.

– Dustin White, 33, of Middleport, pleaded guilty to non-support of dependents. He will be sentenced following a pre-sentence investigation by the court.

– Kenny J. Williamson, 33, of Logan, West Virginia, pleaded guilty to possession of marijuana. He was sentenced to 18 months in state prison at Orient and a six-month driver’s license suspension.
