May 22

– A caller from Roosters on U.S. Route 23 reported a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot with a female that appeared to be passed out behind the wheel. The vehicle checked OK, and the driver was just waiting for an employee to get off work.

– A caller reported there were people talking loudly in the parking lot at Duke and Duchess on East Main Street. One subject was advised of the noise complaint, and the store clerk advised she could remain on the lot as long as she was not disruptive.

– A resident in the 200 block of Town Street reported hearing what sounded like a gun discharging in the area of Third and Fourth. Officers were unable to locate the source of the sound.

– A resident in the 900 block of South Washington Street reported her granddaughter’s bicycle was stolen. A report was taken on theft.

– Officers responded to a parking complaint at Dollar General on North Court Street.

– A caller requested an officer in the 700 block of South Court Street for an elderly resident with people in the home who would not leave, and the caller believes he is being abused. The two subjects left the residence and were advised of possible criminal trespassing charges if they returned.

– Officers responded to an activated alarm at Gibby’s on West Main Street. The scene checked OK.

– Officers performed a well-being check in the 400 block of John Street. One subject was transported to Berger Hospital.

– A resident came to the police station to request a stand-by for child visitation. Officers determined they would follow up with Children’s Services regarding the incident prior to performing a stand-by.

– An anonymous caller reported a car revving its engine so much it sounded like it was going to blow up in the area of Scioto and Corwin streets. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle.

– Officers responded to a property damage accident on North Court Street north of York Street.

– Matthew Kellough was arrested in the 500 block of Clinton Street after an officer reported the male tried to flee on him. A report was taken for drug abuse.

– Officers responded to an activated alarm at Coughlin Automotive on U.S. Route 23. The scene checked OK.

– A 911 caller and a non-emergency caller reported a female subject was being held against her will in the 300 block of Barnes Avenue. Officers made contact with the female, who advised she did not want to leave but was free to do so if she wanted. The scene checked OK.

– Officers responded to a parking complaint in the 300 block of South Scioto Street.

– A resident in the 1200 block of South Pickaway Street reported two juveniles riding a bike and a three-wheeler blocking traffic at the corner of South Pickaway and Third Avenue. The officer located a bicycle and a big wheel at the corner house, and the juveniles were advised to stay off the roadway.

– A resident in the 200 block of Logan Street reported telecommunications harassment by a relative. A report was taken.

– A resident came to the police station to report people parked all over the parking lot at Duke and Duchess, and she felt the subjects were up to no good, but the clerk didn’t seem to have any issues with the subjects being there. The resident was advised the business was private property, but an officer followed up at the store, and everything checked OK.

– A caller reported her ex-boyfriend damaged her car and was threatening her at Main Street Pub. A report was taken on criminal damage.

– A resident in the 100 block of East High Street reported a possible missing person but later called back to confirm the person had been found.

– A resident in the 300 block of South Scioto Street reported he was being threatened by three known subjects. Officers determined there were no threats, just a disagreement over who was going to mow a person’s yard.

– A resident in the 1500 block of Atwater Avenue reported a large black dog attacked a female who was walking her dog on a leash. The dog warden responded to the scene, and officers made contact with the subject, who advised the dog did not bite anyone and was possibly just being playful. No report was taken.

– Officers responded to reports of a suspicious vehicle in the area of Logan and Pickaway streets. The scene checked OK.

– A resident in the 500 block of North Court Street reported a female was walking toward Ted Lewis Park looking into vehicles parked in the area. Officers were unable to locate the subject.

– Officers responded to a 911 hang-up call from the area of the Kroger parking lot on Lancaster Pike. After an investigation of the number provided, the scene checked OK.

– A resident in the 400 block of East Main Street reported a cat had been stuck high in a tree for more than a day. The fire department was contacted but could not respond due to liability. The caller advised they would continue to try to coax it down with food.

– A resident came to the police station to turn in a debit card found at the ATM at Fifth Third Bank. A report was taken on found property.

– A resident in the 400 block of Ruth Avenue reported someone had struck his vehicle overnight. A report was taken on a property damage hit-skip accident.

– An employee at Little Bear Market reported finding two syringes in the parking lot next to the dumpster. Officers located and disposed of the items.

– An anonymous caller reported neighbors in the 200 block of Logan Street were being loud and breaking beer bottles in the alley between South Washington and South Pickaway streets. Officers determined they were water balloons, not beer bottles, and the subjects were advised of the noise ordinance.

– An anonymous caller reported a male was burning trash in his back yard in the 800 block of South Scioto Street, and the smell was unbearable. The subject was advised of the city ordinance, and the fire was put out.

– A resident in the 100 block of West High Street reported someone had threatened her son. Officers determined no threats were made.

– A 911 caller reported a male subject was refusing to leave the Eagles on East Main Street. The subject left prior to officer’s arrival.

– An anonymous caller reported a male subject was arguing with his family and left walking eastbound on East Mound Street, and he appeared to be intoxicated. The male was found on his uncle’s porch and checked OK.

– Officers responded to a property damage accident in the area of East Main and Lancaster Pike.

– A resident in the 300 block of Walnut Street reported someone stole her son’s bicycle. A report was taken on theft.

– A resident in the 800 block of South Washington Street reported someone had broken into her residence while she was away. A report was taken on burglary.

– A caller reported his ex-girlfriend was driving by his house drunk and harassing him and had thrown all his belongings into the street in the 300 block of South Scioto Street. The caller was highly intoxicated and was advised to pick up his belongings. He was left in the care of a sober individual.

May 24

– A resident in the 300 block of East Mound Street reported someone threw a rock through her bedroom window. A report was taken on criminal damaging.

– An officer was flagged down in the area of Pinckney and North Court streets by a subject who reported he had been assaulted. A medic was requested, and a report was taken on disorderly conduct by fighting.

– The Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office advised a resident at Genesis Healthcare had walked away from the facility saying they were going to Berger. A nurse was with the subject in the area of Atwater Avenue and was requesting an officer. The subject was treated at the scene and returned to the nursing home.

– Rodney L. Jenkins of Huston Street was arrested for disorderly conduct by fighting at Main Street Pub after a caller reported a large fight outside of the business.

– A resident in the 500 block of Spring Hollow Road reported a male subject was attempting to get into her sliding glass door. Officers were unable to locate the subject.

– A resident in the 1000 block of Ridge Drive reported his teenage granddaughter had run away overnight. A report was taken.

– A 911 caller reported a dog had been left inside a vehicle at Tim Hortons for a period of time. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle.

– A resident in the 100 block of East Franklin Street reported he was assaulted by a known subject. A report was taken.

– A resident in the 200 block of North Washington Street reported his girlfriend was trying to throw him out of the house. A report was taken on a domestic dispute.

– Officers responded to a property damage accident in the intersection of Main and Pickaway streets.

– A resident came to the police station to report child custody issues and request information on how to handle the situation. The resident was advised of the laws and referred to the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office since it occurred outside the city limits.

– A Grove City resident reported he found a dog with a collar and tags at the YMCA on Nicholas Drive, but the phone number on the tag had been disconnected. The dog warden was notified and was going to get the dog.

– A resident in the 200 block of Logan Street reported threats by a known subject who had been contacted numerous times in the past about threats. The officer advised it was a third-party threat through social media. No report was taken.

– A 911 caller in the 1100 block of Atwater Avenue reported a known female had stolen his vehicle and money. No report was taken at the time, as the subject advised he allows the female to use the vehicle. The following day, a report was filed for theft.

– A caller reported the transformer at the corner of Western Avenue and Main Street was sparking and smoking. The fire department did not witness any problems, but AEP was advised.

– A resident in the 300 block of Walnut Street reported someone had been using his credit card without permission. A report was taken on theft.

– A resident in the 800 block of Kingston Court reported a neighbor was threatening her and left a sign on her door while she was away. A report was taken.

– A resident in the 300 block of Clark Drive reported her sister was refusing to leave her residence. The female left, and a report was taken on a domestic dispute.

– Officers assisted with a disabled vehicle in the 23800 block of U.S. Route 23.

– A resident in the 100 block of Rustic Drive reported hearing a gunshot in the area. The officer advised it was a firework but was unable to locate the source.

– An anonymous caller reported his neighbor’s dog had been barking for about 90 minutes in the 500 block of North Pickaway Street. The officer advised numerous dogs were barking at a person outside. Extra patrol was requested.

– A resident in the 1200 block of Norfolk Avenue reported her family members were trying to kick her out of the house. The officer advised all parties involved, and a report was taken on a domestic dispute.

– A resident in the 400 block of Watt Street reported seeing a large amount of smoke in the area. The officer was unable to locate any smoke.

– A resident in the 300 block of South Western Avenue reported neighbors had a fire in the back yard and it appeared to be close to the house. Officers advised there was a small fire pit, and the residents agreed to extinguish the fire.

– A resident in the 500 block of Northfield Drive reported he was locked out of his residence and was unsure what to do. The caller was provided a phone number for a 24-hour locksmith.

– Officers responded to reports of a domestic dispute in the 1200 block of South Court Street. The officer advised it was a misunderstanding about a female getting her belongings from the residence, and she would return later to finish gathering her property.

– Jeffrey Bush was arrested for disorderly conduct by intoxication after a caller advised of a male staggering along the roadway in the 600 block of Island Road.

– A resident in the 300 block of South Western Avenue reported someone was prowling around the area making cat noises. Officers were unable to locate anyone in the area.

– A resident reported two suspicious males in the area of the church at South Pickaway and Logan streets. Officers were unable to locate the subjects, and the scene checked OK.

– Officers assisted with a disabled vehicle in the area of East Franklin at Mingo Street.

– A resident in the 400 block of North Pickaway Street reported a vehicle was parked on the sidewalk, forcing people to walk in the street.

– A 911 caller in the area of Main Street reported someone had made an obscene hand gesture at him while driving, then hung up. Dispatchers attempted to call the number back numerous times but got no answer. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle.

– A resident in the 200 block of Logan Street requested an officer stand-by while a female retrieved her belongings from the residence. The stand-by was completed without incident.

– An Ashville resident reported someone struck their vehicle in the 100 block of North Court Street while they were eating lunch. A report was taken on a property damage hit-skip.

– A resident in the 200 block of Town Street reported two male juveniles were throwing glass in the area of Logan and South Washington streets. Officers were unable to locate any juveniles or broken glass in the area.

– A resident in the 100 block of East Water Street came to the police station to report her neighbor had been damaging and stealing items. Officers advised there was no proof it was the neighbor, and no report was taken.

– A resident in the 1200 block of South Court Street reported a male threatened her and cut her curtains with a knife, and he still had the knife on him. Officers advised there were no threats made with the knife, and they were advised to schedule a time with the court to retrieve property. The parties were referred to civil court.

– A resident in the 100 block of Highland Avenue reported a lot of yelling coming from a neighboring residence. Officers made contact with the subjects and advised them to be quieter in their conversations. A report was taken on a domestic complaint.

– Brandon H. Rooker was arrested for disorderly conduct by intoxication in the 500 block of East Ohio Street.

– Officers responded to an activated alarm in the 500 block of Sycamore Drive. Contact was made with the homeowner, who advised it was accidental. The scene checked OK.
