CIRCLEVILLE – City firefighters will host a fish fry Thursday during the annual Mother’s Day flower sale that is now in full swing, with proceeds from both benefiting causes funded through the local firefighters union.

The fish fry will begin about 11 a.m. Thursday at the fire station on North Court Street. The flower sale kicked off Tuesday at the station and will run until all the plants are sold.

The group began with a total of 330 plants on Tuesday and sold at least 100 the first day, according to Lt. Brad Rankin, CFD.

The Circleville Firefighters Union Local 1232 uses the fundraisers to support a variety of causes in the community, Rankin said, including sponsorships of softball teams, Special Olympics and more.

All flower baskets are $16 each or $15 each with the purchase of three or more.
