Staff Reports

The following cases recently were heard by Judge P. Randall Knece in Pickaway County Common Pleas Court:

– Jonathan A. Barr, 28, of Columbus, pleaded guilty to a violation of community control. He was sentenced to 33 months in state prison.

– Laura J. Climer, 38, of Duvall Road, Ashville, pleaded guilty to aggravated possession of drugs and trafficking in drugs. She was sentenced to three years of intervention and day reporting.

– Michelle R. Ellis, 32, of Delaware, pleaded guilty to illegal conveyance of items onto the grounds of a governmental specified facility. She was sentenced to 12 months in state prison (suspended), three years of community control and 30 days in the county jail.

– Elizabeth A. Glover, 36, of Pleasant Street, Circleville, pleaded not guilty to forgery. A pretrial hearing is set for June 9.

– Megan E. Jenkins, 30, of Grove City, pleaded guilty to grand theft. She was sentenced to 36 months in state prison (suspended), $550 in restitution, three years of community control, 30 days in the county jail and six months in a community-based correctional facility program.

– David Lewis, 25, of Town Street, Circleville, pleaded guilty to a violation of terms of intervention. He was sentenced to 30 days in the county jail.

– Carl D. Martin Jr., 44, of Bulen Pierce Road, Lockbourne, pleaded guilty to receiving stolen property. He was sentenced to 16 months in state prison (suspended), a $2,500 fine, three years of community control and 30 days in the county jail.

– Jason McCloskey, 40, of Bainbridge, pleaded not guilty to improperly handling weapons in a motor vehicle. A pretrial hearing is set for June 9.

– Laura M. Thurman, 37, of state Route 327, Laurelville, pleaded guilty to a violation of community control. She was sentenced to 10 months in state prison.
