James M. Taylor Jr., 81, of Circleville, died 11:56 p.m. Tuesday, May 30, 2017, at his residence following a brief illness.
He was born June 21, 1935, in Fairfield County, to the late James M. Sr. and Lyona Ater Taylor.
On Sept. 18, 1955, he married the former Laverne Wood, who survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Beth (Terry) Adams of Circleville; a son, Todd (Lisa) Taylor of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Lauren, Beau, Taylor, Lindsey, David and Hannah; great-grandchildren, Joclyn, Kamryn, Karlie and Kennedy; a sister, Mary Ellen (Larry) Giesy of Lancaster; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by sisters, Catherine Younkin and Ruth Rose.
James was a member of Northridge Church of Christ. He retired from the Wasserstrom Company in Columbus.
A graveside service will be held 12:30 p.m. Friday, June 2, 2017, in Hitler Ludwig Cemetery with Dr. Doyne Wiggins officiating. There will be no public calling hours.
