Alfred Raymond “Pete” Tisdale, 86, with much sadness, passed away Sunday, May 7, 2017.

He was residing at Villa Angela Nursing Home.

He was born Jan. 27, 1931, in South Bloomingville.

Our Dad was a person of many talents. He could fix almost anything. If he couldn’t fix it the right way, he would fiddle around with it until it was fixed. His hobby was taking pieces of wood and making it into something beautiful. He also enjoyed playing golf with his relatives and/or friends. He thought that he played awful, but according to many he was really good.

He worked for Borden’s milk and Borden’s ice cream until he retired. He also worked at Big Bear for a period of time.

He is preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife, Phyllis; Goldie (Keck) Tisdale; Henry Tisdale; Russell and Grace Anderson; and an infant granddaughter, Krista.

Left to cherish the memories are daughters, Christina (Ken) Morris and Patricia (Todd) Turnbull; son, Kevin Tisdale; grandchildren, Danielle (Ben) Gleason, Steve Turnbull and Craig (Teressa) Morris; great-grandchildren, Shannon (Grant) Kemmerling, Megan (Will Phillips) Morris, Holli Fraize Morris, Logan, Wyatt and Emily; and great-great-grandson, Levi.

We know you are in a happier place where there is no pain and suffering. You may be gone, but your memory will live on forever.

There will be no service. There will be a private service at the cemetery for the family.

In lieu of flowers, donate to the American Heart Association.
